Timeline From God

It would be a bit presumptuous to say that one knew God’s timeline but He has revealed what is important and understanding it helps you understand God. The timeline from God in its simplicity corresponds to the simplicity of God’s plan. You can add many details to the timeline shown but the simple timeline is the most helpful for instruction, learning and understanding God. It would be very helpful to read, “Adam, Eve The Devil and the Purpose of Life” which is also at this site. This webpage overviews God’s timeline and does not include any of man’s inventions such as Premillennialism. If you can understand God’s plan for man (given in the suggested reading above) you will understand these Premillennialism events have no purpose and in fact are in great conflict with God’s plan. Another page that can help you understand God’s timeline and in a very powerful manner is a page called, “The End Of The World.” The emphasis for this page is to provide the true timeline and it is very powerful and easy to understand. I do have a very short discussion on the rapture currently located on a page titled, “Religion’s Seriously Damaging Lie / About Heaven.”

God’s Timeline

There are only SEVEN events needed to adequately describe God’s timeline.

1) Creation

God’s begins His plan for mankind and it includes the place where man will reside, namely on Earth as it would be known. He places earth in a vast expanse of other planets, galaxies.” It is a wonderful, Godly designed place. In the process of creating the physical world and different kinds of life and human life HE CREATES TIME and tells man, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” He designates man as special by saying man is created in the image of God. You can learn what that means by going to, “Begin To Understand God.”

2) Sin Enters

It does not take very long before there is sin, that is, a transgression of God’s law and in this case all we know is that God’s law was in relation to not eating of the fruit of the tree in the center of the garden. There was temptation, there was disobedience and thus sin. The life’s of Adam and Eve and all their descendants would be changed forever. Physical death would occur and even then the curse of sin would remain as they were separated from God.

3) God’s Plan of Reconciliation

God immediately confronts the problem, the eternal problem by putting in place a way to reconcile mankind to Him. In just one verse, the plan is revealed but not in a way it could be understood because it was not the time. Later, God says the mystery was removed and indeed you can now understand Genesis 3.15 and the power and uniqueness of this verse. I mentioned a link above, “Adam, Eve, the devil and the Purpose of Life” and I think you will find it helpful.
Today, the understanding of Genesis 3.15 allows you to easily see God’s purpose and realize its fulfillment.

Genesis 3.15

15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”

4) Jesus’ Crucified, Raises from the Dead

So the time comes and Jesus is born through the lineage exactly as God indicated but the purpose of Jesus’ life is the reconciliation. That occurs when Jesus is crucified, buried and raises from the dead. Indeed, as Jesus says, “it is over.” Thousands of years since Adam and Eve and the sin in the garden we have the central event in all of history. Sin was a spiritual problem that destroyed the relationship with God. Jesus, living a sinless life and in perfect obedience to the Father provides men the opportunity of reconciliation.

5) Church begins on Day of Pentecost after the death of Christ

Man has the opportunity for reconciliation following the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Yet, life is still a test as God continues to determine those who will spend eternity with Him. Until Christ died, was buried and arose from the dead there was no hope for man in terms of reconciliation, and thus in terms of heaven being a possibility. Jesus, began His ministry by indicating the Kingdom of God is at hand. The kingdom is now in existence and the law of Christ is in effect. The kingdom began on the day of Pentecost following the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. The kingdom is the church and it is where the saved exist. People were added to the church on the day of Pentecost after Christ’s death, burial and resurrection and all the conversions of the new testament follow a pattern of obedience. We learn in Hebrews 5.9 that Jesus is the author of salvation to all those who obey Him. We see Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection as the central event in History inasmuch as it allows men and women to have the successful life’s God intended. In the simplicity from God we see how it is our obedience to the death, burial and resurrection of Christ that God uses to have our sins forgiven. How do you obey the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus?

Romans 6.3-5

3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,

God ties the death of His son – His Death, Burial and Resurrection – directly to your forgiveness when you go down into the watery grave (burial, dieing to sin) and coming out of the water (resurrection) into a new life. IF we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection. God’s ways are indeed perfect and simple and as always it is your choice to obey God or reject God. To do nothing is to reject God. God has done all He could in view of justice and he points out you can do it, namely manage the difficulties or relatively light afflictions compared to th eternal weight of glory.
2 Corinthians 4.17,18
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

6) Jesus returns, gathers His children from the earth before it is destroyed. The judgment of the earth, heavens and those remaining occurs in a fiery display. Even the works therein shall be burned up!

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17

13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

2 Peter 3.7

7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

God always had the intention of ending His test and receiving those who overcame sin into a wonderful eternity. Men need to understand that life is all about the soul. It would be about the battle between good and evil. Throughout the time of man, God has made judgments on persons or groups of people. This time as the world will be destroyed, His children both alive and in the graves will be removed before that DAY, that HOUR. The earth and heavens will be destroyed but those persons left will experience the end – in person. They will all know that Jesus is Lord and God is the God of the bible. The many god’s of man’s invention will not be there, just the creator in the person of His Son. The physical will be ending and those present will be experiencing the supernatural. It will be too late to change your life, too late to be forgiven. Frankly, it will be horrible terror and you should know. You should know that it will come as a thief in the night – no warning and God has admonished to be ready before that DAY. One thing remains and then indeed God’s plan is complete.

7) Judgment of all with each person receiving their Eternal destination

2 Corinthians 5:10

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

God said, “In the beginning” but one day it will all come to an end. The earth, the universe and even time will end and all that will remain will be those things eternal which includes all human life. The great test will be over and your fate will be sealed. The only thing we have to rely on now, in our current existence is what God has revealed and it points to the seriousness of living life correctly. The DAY arrives and the time of your free choice is over and you will exist forever. God is to be feared and to be revered. Every person has a lot to overcome, especially pride – the pride that puts trust in themselves and in other men and women. God has done all He could in view of justice and He points out you can do it, namely manage the difficulties or relatively light afflictions compared to the eternal weight of glory.

It is over and all that seemed important has absolutely no value because now it is clear that life was about the soul and absolutely nothing else!!! God’s simple timeline for mankind has been completed.

Why Did God Create Man?

There are a lot of ideas regarding why God created humankind and I think it amounts to quite a great deal of speculation. As always you only can understand spiritual things if God reveals them. In that regard, there are elements of God’s love throughout scripture. I have an analogy that is speculation based on having a good understanding of what God has revealed and I only provide it because it might be helpful. Assume we are parents having created a child and thus it is our creation. Then as good parents we want to love the child. We want the best for the child but despite our best efforts the child may fail and it would not please us. However, the child might succeed and greatly please us.
In some way this could be how God views His creation and why He created us. He created us because of the POTENTIAL FOR GOOD and thus a POTENTIAL ENDURING, LOVING RELATIONSHIP. Along the way there may be many bad influences for our children and they may go astray following after things that might horrify us. We know that many things could destroy the relationship with our own children. A relationship as good parents that we have nurtured and greatly cherish. Yet parents know that every child will make their own decisions just as God knows every person will make decisions that determine their eternity. We stick with our children through difficult times and determine ways for them to overcome problems. Some children escape the difficulties but others do not.
So we are God’s children from our birth but sin enters our life and the relationship is lost. Every person capable of decision-making will lose that relationship with God because all make the decision to sin. God in his wisdom understands man’s weaknesses and out of fairness and love He provides a way of escape and He begins to explain that to man (Adam and Eve) from the point of the first transgression. It would be thousands of years before man could understand God’s plan and before its fulfillment. God is different than earthly parents because He is perfect in love and perfect in justice. The perfect love is shown to man in the reconciliation in that He gave His beloved Son. His perfect justice is demonstrated in His perfect judgment. He provided a perfect test on a perfect stage to provide man with the opportunity to make the right choices. God knows the kind of person who will please Him and the test reveals the acceptable man or woman. That person will continue to please God throughout eternity. It is a perfect test because it displays the character of the person and it is done in a way that only those with “good hearts” will discover the truth and obey it. Life is short but you will exist forever. Your portion of God’s timeline is your lifetime and it is simply birth, death, judgment, eternity. Somewhere between birth and death you will make decisions that will affect your eternity. There is no getting around it – it will be your decision.

  1. God has revealed himself to man ,so man can blame himself

    • KOSGEI,
The scriptures do reveal that God is the God of the bible. God does not want any to be lost, but that all will take what He offered in His Son. Indeed, you can understand God very well from the scriptures and the more you know the more certain you can be that you should live by what has been revealed. It may turn out that each person who is lost will look at all the lost opportunities and see that they were too lazy, too much desiring the things of life to be bothered with seeking God and consequently that they made poor decisions.
      Thanks for the comment,
