There are many problems with Islam and this discussion involves just a few of the basic issues. There are literally hundreds of things that are hidden to its adherents. They are hidden because Islam uses paranoia, physical and mental violence to cover their deceit and little or no questioning is allowed. Mohammed created Islam all by himself in a similar way as Joseph Smith created Mormonism. The angel Gabriel appeared to Mohammed and the angel Moroni appeared to Joseph Smith and they receive their unique revelations.
Mohammed and Joseph Smith record their respective messages. Their message consists of rather lengthy writings following the pattern of the bible. The bible however, being recorded over 1500 years by over 40 authors and yet with a consistent theme. Mohammed and Joseph Smith are the single authors of their respective books. Both Mohammed and Joseph Smith had their eyes on the bible and use it frequently in the creation of their doctrines. Mohammed and Joseph Smith appear with no previous indication they were coming and begin their religions. Both acknowledge the validity of the old and new Covenant while Mohammed conveniently only acknowledges portions of the New Testament and provides Jesus the rank of prophet but not as great as himself. Mohammed and Joseph Smith had trouble with what men taught as truth from the bible and the associated actions of those religions. Mohammed saw great disrespect for God in Judaism and Christianity – actually, Mohammed never saw Christianity but Catholicism which most certainly was not Christianity. In the 7th century, Catholicism looked to him as vile, violent, murderous and rule making with many men receiving honor and benefiting from their positions. This could not be God and he was right. Joseph Smith was more disenchanted with the religions of his day in America and many things he saw were not consistent with scripture. He also was correct in his assessment. So, one day in Palmyra, New York, the angel Moroni appears to Joseph Smith and at Hill Cumorah the golden plates are retrieved. Similarly, we have Mohammed meeting the angel Gabriel in a cave called Hira on mount Jabal al Nour where he receives the message.
Joseph Smith and Mohammed are just two of many men and women to make such claims. These two were relatively prolific in their writings. Their religions live on via great paranoia and effective indoctrination. In the book, “What Is Life All About?” there is considerable time spent pointing out the problems with these religions. As with all false religions, they have no substance, that is, incredibly weak origins. Also in that book, it is a correct understanding of God (as He reveals Himself and His purpose) that helps to clarify the confusion brought by men and women to religion. In accepting the bible as from God both Mohammed and Joseph Smith condemn their own religions. Both men would heartedly accept Genesis and the story of creation, Adam and Eve. God provided such a clear path of understanding regarding His purpose and it is a path and purpose that is very singular. For Islam the problem is that Jesus is at the center of God’s plan. The reconciliation is the result of Jesus and there is no other prophet like Jesus. Jesus was the covering for sin that God had in mind since the beginning. Jesus is much more than a prophet but is prophet, priest and king.
For Mormonism, there was nothing else needed different from what God delivered in Christ. The apostles were led into all truth as Jesus promised by the Holy Spirit. That work was completed and mankind has the message. Note below, God has, “given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness.” What more do we need than, “all things that pertain to life and godliness.” Neither Mohammed or Joseph Smith can add to what God has provided. You have all you need since Peter so indicated in the first century to be successful in life, to achieve heaven. People became children of God, had their past sins forgiven, received the gift of the Holy Spirit and were added to the church just by doing what God directed in Acts the second chapter. Do you suppose that doing the same thing today would produce the same result?

3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Mankind seldom accepts God’s ways and like the Jews were unfaithful over their centuries before and during the time of Christ so were the so-called Christians up to and including Joseph Smith’s day (and to this day). So, we have the disappointment and horror seen by Mohammed and Joseph Smith as they viewed the religious world’s attempts to honor God. In the course of making corrections, they simply created another man-made religion – just as confusing and dishonoring to God as those they opposed. They look very much like Cain in how they substitute their wills for what God intended. Nothing could be more disrespectful to God. God does not accept substitutes!
Millions, hundreds of millions (in the case of Islam) now follow after their doctrines and indeed they follow after the doctrines of men. These men had found problems with dishonor to God in the religious systems of their day but these were not men of good character. Mohammed was violent and murdered many, even personally beheading more than 600 persons. Joseph Smith was unfaithful to his wife and finally indicated that having many wifes was a part of Mormonism to his wife’s terror. Mohammed and Joseph Smith had the highest respect for themselves even to the point of creating new religions and claiming their doctrine came from God. We all make mistakes, miss the mark in life but Mohammed and Joseph Smith were incredibly self-centered and cruel and nothing is worse than the religions they created and all those who have been mislead.
Mohammed and Joseph Smith in the creation of their religions used patterns seen in scripture and also observed in the religions surrounding them. Worship for them always had an elaborate, often ornate character. Since they did not understand God or apparently His will in relation to worship they promote the physical over the spiritual. The result is just more elaborate worship which is not worship at all. Worship to the God of heaven must be in Spirit and Truth.
God through His plan and throughout the unfolding of the plan and then finally in Christ provides a solid, logical and really an amazing series of events ending in the fulfillment of the plan. There is no other plan in the mind of God and thus those who follow such as Mohammed and Joseph Smith are not lovers of the truth. Therefore, God will reject them and those who follow after them. Of all the things people underestimate regarding God, perhaps nothing is as destructive to the soul as humanity’s disregard and disrespect for the truth.

10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
What a loss and as usual it is all about pride. One obvious thing about Mohammed’s and Joseph Smith’s false doctrines is how both religions sustain themselves in paranoia and it is seen in limiting the investigation done by their adherents. It begins with indoctrination and especially in the case of Islam escalates to fear and various cruelties including murder.
Today, these religion’s also usually contain a moral aspect which they emphasize to their members. In the case of Muslims it is a comparison to the world’s outward and obvious immorality and there is a certain attractiveness to that appeal for many people. They ignore their own immorality associated with stoning women, extreme cruelties to those who oppose or do not practice their doctrine.
The Mormons use a similar exceedingly more humane tactic by emphasizing the family. The strength of the family is tied to following the Mormon system and they look around the world and see the disintegration of the family. This is an attractive aspect to people who desire to have successful families but this is not at the center of a successful life. A successful life ends with the salvation of your soul. Sustaining false religions requires some means of hiding or minimizing their origins and early doctrines. Strong families and multiple wife’s would not be a good combination as recognized by our society, so this aspect of Mormonism is covered-up in various ways. Mohammed himself had between eleven and thirteen wife’s depending on which record you believe and some quite young. Joseph Smith had 28 wife’s and also some of them were quite young. The similarities between these men are interesting but the pattern used by them in the creation of their religions is striking. It is a pattern as mentioned used by many in the creation of religion. The bible usually plays a prominent part in their doctrines and mixed with some egotistic and somewhat charismatic, self-centered, selfish personalities the religion was created. These men possessed a willingness to deceive others and it never bothered them and consequently they are deeply evil!
The acceptance of the bible by both Mohammed and Joseph Smith destroys the religion of these men. The God of the bible provides a purpose and plan for mankind and it does not include the messages of Mohammed or Joseph Smith.
