Justice and Excuses
Your Moment Of Truth
may never come during your lifetime. The moment when you think, “Is This All There Is.” Will you ever come out of your daily routine? Will you ever believe something because it is the truth even in face of what you want to believe. Many people never reach that point. You can if you wish effectively close your mind to anything outside your physical existence. Will you always be like a teenage boy or girl infatuated with life and all its amazement? Some of those teenagers occasionally think about life and its purpose. Everyone needs to come to grip with life’s purpose because no one knows how long they have. There are no excuses for failing in life. One can be sympathetic to young people who are taught that they die and their existence ends. Sounds like a good excuse, “that was what I was taught” but there are no excuses. You are raised to believe Islam is the religion of God and there was little choice but there is NO EXCUSE. In order to fit into the right groups in the university, to move ahead as a recognized professor you need to support the theory of Organic Evolution. There is NO EXCUSE for you accepting things you doubt or even believing such a terrible doctrine. There is NO EXCUSE for conceiving of situations where God’s commands cannot be obeyed (you think) and use that as an excuse for not obeying them. You see, God can handle all your concerns about others.
God always simplifies everything and we would know this if we just accept what He says but we have to question and knit-pick and strangely we make the simple complex. Here is what God says about excuses in relation to his existence.
Romans 1:203>
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible [attributes] are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify [Him] as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
The list of excuses used by many human courts “can be fine” when they are legitimate but many times they are not. It is proper justice in many of “mankind’s” courts to use these considerations in making determinations of innocence or guilt. There is a lot of subjectivity and the best lawyer/expert witness/jury make-up combination usually wins. Justice is frequently not served.
Justice and Excuses
The problem is you might believe God’s judgments are along the lines of long delays, appeals, back room negotiations but instead justice is swift, exact and perfect because God knows your heart. He knows every evil thought and every noble deed and perfectly considers your life. So one of the big problems is that we can fool ourselves, fool ourselves right into a bad eternity. God’s perfect plan has those who love the truth facing up to who they are and changing. You cannot change what you do not admit. Change is the idea of repentance.
A good thought for you; never think of judgment in terms of some excuse you have for your life but think in terms of having a relationship with God, obeying God otherwise you will just be fooling yourself.

One of the truly unsettling things about God’s justice is that few will successfully pass the test.
The Bible alludes to this directly in Matthew 7.13, 14. Of course, God knows all things and even though you have a free will God’s creation of time (sequencing of events) is not a barrier for Him. See, “Time, The Mystery Unnoticed.” God’s revelation here of a “FEW” and the “NARROW gate” has a purpose as does all things God does. Those who really want the truth need to know the road is NARROW and that is not what the World of “religious people” teach. Indeed, God loves His creation and has done all possible for your success but look around today or at the time of Noah or at the time of Elijah and Baal and people live selfishly for personal gain. “Christian” churches believe if you accept Jesus as your personal savior you will go to heaven and you are once saved and will remain that way. I do not know how you could have a broader road when in fact God ties His love to your obedience over and over and over again in scripture! That obedience is day-in and day-out. So FEW will choose that NARROW path but anybody can. So just like in the world if it appears “to good to be true,” it probably is not true. There is security in what God has revealed but it is not what we want to hear. We want an “easy BROAD path” and would like most people to find heaven. We are not all that altruistic but often we believe if a high percentage of people are going to heaven that we are just as good as most and we will be there also. Jesus bursts that bubble in Matthew 7.13,14 and many other places but we still look for someone to tell us it is not true and we indeed find plenty of “someones” to satisfy that need. Along these lines God will separate those who will spend eternity with Him and He knows there will be FEW!
Matthew 7:13, 14
13 Enter by the narrow gate; for wide the gate and broad the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
14 Because narrow the gate and difficult the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
The things God hates will be things that keep people out of heaven.
Proverbs 6:16-20
16 These six things the LORD hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
17 A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.
In addition we look at humankind and find all kinds of problems relative to clear statements from God.
Matthew 7.21
21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Even those who have some knowledge of God and speak His name will not enter heaven. You have to do the will of God. We can see that “God’s field of acceptable people narrowing” even further.
Many people consequently do not like the God of the bible. One thing is certain, if you look closely with an open mind there is nothing like the Bible. You are an eternal being and in the lost state (no second chances) eventually you may realize you made bad choices.
Now, you do not have to be lost, instead choose the other destination which, is incredible beyond your imagination.
We understand men in general will not submit themselves to God if it involves living differently than they desire to live.
God in allowing man a free will and God not being capable of lying has made your final destination rather well defined. It is most disturbing to God because of all He has done for man and because His creator’s desire was to have man spend eternity with Him. This is difficult to understand until you realize it will be your choice, your free will choice living in a creation where God has placed various rules. You in effect stood face to face with God’s rules perhaps even denying His existence and in retrospect why did you choose the wrong course? It is always the same reason if you are honest. You made choices because you wanted to go that direction, to say those things, to live that way.
The point of this post is to indicate commensurate with the scriptures that you have a great challenge, few will receive the reward and each person is without excuse for not finding and obeying the truth.
