Only You
Life’s Purpose
In the end it will be Only You. How did you do in life? God knows how you did and you will receive the end result of your choices in life. There will be no friend or family member being judged along with you, but just you. There may have been other people who caused you grief, who influenced you, but there will be no excuses. Your eternity will be for you and yet how you influenced others, how you treated others may be issues in determining your fate. If you face judgment it will be to receive punishment. Those who are saved will face no judgment. You might say that all will stand before the judgment seat of Christ. God has so indicated, however we then learn from scripture that there is a God designed variance in God’s plan. Namely, those who die in Christ and those who are alive in Christ at His appearing will always be with Christ. Your fate is determined at your death and in that sense your judgment is known. Hebrews 9.31 tells us that it is appointed for man once to die and then the judgment. In other words, after death there is nothing that can be done to change YOUR outcome.
Life is all about the soul and this principle will be crystal clear after you die and find you still exist. You can know this NOW, so you can live your life such that you are successful and gain heaven.
The Facts From God
God’s Word
In religion, people so often live in optimism and not in fact. Faith is the facts from God, the perfect message for your salvation. Yet, the people of religion seldom have the facts. The facts they possess are the facts originated in the minds of men and do not represent the will of God. They like the facts created by other human beings and find comfort, security and often little difficulty in those “facts.” Their optimism in what they believe is like the inventor who is so certain in the success of his/her invention. Quite often they are the ONLY ONE with such optimism – they are so sure. The world is so certain of what is important and it includes peace on earth, riches, love and being loved and many others. Every person has different versions of what is important and they make choices along the lines of their philosophies. In this regard every person is different and in that sense they are alone. Indeed each person will stand alone before God. The optimism in following God is only valuable if it is the truth. Regardless, if you are religious or openly non-religious or even if you are optimistic in your belief or uncertain in your beliefs about life it will not matter – the truth matters.
Understanding God can be done only if you align with what God has revealed about Himself. Many will be fooled and listen to and be convinced of “some version of God” as developed by humankind. It takes a sincere, courageous love of the truth to find truth. It is along these lines that God separates those for heaven from those who fail in life. One basic understanding of God is that few will be successful, although He desires none to be lost. You in truth, will understand that God is perfect in judgment and that every word from God is true, in other words God cannot lie. All that God has revealed will come to pass. Yes, Jesus will return to judge the world.
2 Cor 5:10
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
Those that love the truth know that although every person will be judged by the things they have done in the body, that those in Christ will not face judgment. How can this be? Those who are dead when Christ returns will first be taken and then those who are alive in Christ will be taken, always to be with the Lord. Their judgment was sealed by obeying the gospel and living faithfully until death or until the moment Christ returns. Jesus is taking His church, His kingdom, His body to be with him and by their life choice to live for Christ they do not stand in judgment. This exception is the reason Jesus came and died that some could be reconciled to the Father through Him. All others will receive their sentence and it will be the greatest of all possible loss.
Jesus Is The Judge – Avoid Coming Into Judgment – Pass From Death To Life
John 5.22-24
22 For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son,
23 that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
The End Of All Things – Avoid Coming Into Judgment
1 Thessalonians 4.15-17
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
Those “In Christ” during their life have a lawyer, an Advocate, namely Jesus Christ.
1 John 2.1
1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
In the end, Jesus takes on the role of judge. Although, those “In Christ” will not face the judgment there are many (who were in Christ) who will not live faithfully until death and sadly will not avail themselves of the Advocate. Thus, we see that the judgment begins with those in the household of God. These are not “in Christ” due to commission (of sin) or omission (failing to serve God).
1 Peter 5.5-7
17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?
18 Now, “If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?”
If you come to realize that succeeding in life is difficult, you reach a conclusion that is consistent with scripture. It is a conclusion for which the world and the religious world appears to be oblivious. Jesus indicated that achieving eternal life is difficult and few find it.
Matthew 7.13,14
13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
ONLY YOU in your perseverance and dedication to truth can determine to accept nothing less than the truth and obey it and live it. God’s purpose is all about finding such humble, unselfish people and He will accept nothing less. Heaven will not contain a single person who failed to live up to the standards set by God. Because of sin, you will need to come into contact with the blood of Christ, that is have those sins forgiven (Acts 2.38, Galatians 3.26-29, Romans 6.3,4, Hebrews 5.9, 1 Peter 3.21). In other words, obey the gospel. Those who live faithfully “the doctrine of Christ” in effect have the Father and the Son and receive “an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you.”
Judgment For Those Not In Christ
You cannot possibly know what is coming unless God reveals it and one thing He has revealed is the judgment. It will be unlike the judgments humankind makes in that there will be no mistakes, there are no re-trials or appeals. The necessity of having Jesus in your life, really living your life for Jesus and the gospel is the only way you can avoid judgment. In this world, we think in terms of excuses for the mistakes of life and may believe we will have an excuse if we face the judgment – but there are no excuses and no second chances. It will be understood that you cannot outsmart God, perhaps by claiming there are those who never had a chance to know the truth and you may have been one of them. Maybe you were too busy, maybe you suffered some special physical disability, maybe you lived alone on an island and never had the opportunity to know the truth. God, however never makes a mistake and presently you see no answer possible for many things, but for God there is no problem just as creation was no problem for Him. His judgments are perfect, just as is His word perfect in converting the soul. Only you will stand before God and it will be amazing and there will be terror beyond your current comprehension. There will sadness at your choices and you will know the loss and the eternal consequences. Paul tells us one reason he worked so hard in preaching the word, when he said, “knowing the terror of the Lord, we persuade men.”
Realizations About You
It is surprising how people are willing to go through life and not give any consideration of what life is all about. They go to death and just wonder what will happen and many think they go out of existence. They have done so little to prepare for eternity and they could know so much if they cared. Heaven Coach is here to help point you to the seriousness of life and the importance of being prepared for what follows. The scriptures have been left for you and for some strange reason you fail to be diligent in this matter. Many temporary things fill your life and in the end they have no value. The freedom you enjoy is temporary just as are all physical things.
The Misplaced Belief In Excuses and Blaming
Someone besides Me is responsible, maybe my parents, maybe my friends, maybe my teachers, maybe my enemies and so-on.
God provides answers for you. Is there any hope in blaming and excuses? Review “Blaming and Excuses” for a scriptural view of blaming and excuses.
Let us look at God’s answers to parents, which includes more than parents inasmuch as it squarely places the responsibility on the shoulders of each individual.
Ezekiel 18.19,20
19 “Yet you say, ‘Why should the son not bear the guilt of the father?’ Because the son has done what is lawful and right, and has kept all My statutes and observed them, he shall surely live.
20 The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.
The soul that sins shall die!
ONLY YOU will be responsible and you have what is perfect from God and if you love the truth you can know and act on the truth and with dedication your final destination can be heaven. YOU need to know “The Gospel Message.”
